On June 16, 2007, the former dancer/cheerleader for the Miami Heat basketball team was given a baby shower in Colorado where she and Ryan now live. The baby shower was kept rather low-key and private, with only family and friends, especially Ryan's mother Barb Sutter. This was the first baby shower that was given them for their son, Max and was covered by Us Weekly and sponsored by Suave and the Hot Moms Club.
Limited to family and friends, the baby shower was held at Allie's Cabin, a breathtakingly beautiful hideaway at the top of a mountain near Beaver Creek in Vail, Colorado. All the decorations were lovely in a perfectly pink and blue theme, since the couple didn't want to know the sex of the baby until it was born.
The atmosphere inside the party was as wonderful as outside. Bunches of baby balloons in red, pink, dark blue, and baby blue were attached to the gifts table and added a truly festive note to the baby shower.
The beautifully set tables were covered with a pristine white cloth accented with teal napkins and decorated with a centerpiece of pink, red, and blue flowers in a blue and white patterned basket. Each place setting was also adorned with a personalized note pad with a likeness of Trista on it.
As an activity, the guests put together pages for a keepsake scrapbook and then embellished baby tees from Hot Moms Club using fabric paints and gems.
Trista gave away a very personal gift from her company Trista Baby:
an environmentally-friendly, signature black and white patterned
diaper bag chock-full of goodies from various companies, including
Suave, Right Bank Babies, Tiny Bigs, Hot Mamas Club, Wabba Nub,
and Two Plums, just to name a few!
Fast forward to September 2008, and Trista Sutter's second baby
shower, this time a very girly all-pink one held at the Sonnenalp
Resort in Vailand covered by OK! Magazine . This time the Suttons
are expecting a baby girl, which they had confirmed a few months
later in December. They had chosen a name for the baby, and were
very excited since they had really wanted a boy AND a girl. Trista's
mother Roseanne Rehn came over to help with the baby shower.
Each table was set in a pretty pink scheme. Right down the center
of the table were masses of white daisies in cylindrical clear glass
vases. The stems of the daisies were covered with a large green
leaf lining the inside of the vase. Alternating were masses of barely
opened baby pink rosebuds in square clear glass vases. The stems
were again covered by green leaves. Each place was set with pink-flowered,
stemmed water glasses, tulip glasses for pink champagne, and shorter
footed glasses for juice. Baby girl Blakesley was born to the Sutters
on April 3, 2009.
